INCONTRI DELL’AGM DI TRIESTE CON I DIRIGENTI DEL CLUB DI TORONTO
Diversi gli appuntamenti di Fabio Ziberna, direttore dell'Associazione Giuliani nel Mondo di Trieste, con i nostri corregionali a Toronto, in occasione della sua presenza in Canada per il 30° di fondazione della Lega Istriana di Chatham.
In particolare, Ziberna si è incontrato con la Presidente del Circolo di Toronto, Adriana Gobbo, ed alcuni componenti del Consiglio Direttivo e, successivamente, con Konrad Eisenbickler, direttore de “El Boletin”, il periodico informativo del Club.
Alla riunione Ziberna ha illustrato i programmi dell'AGM per il 2019, anche alla luce dei recenti incontri con l'Assessore regionale ai corregionali all’estero, Pierpaolo Roberti, programmi che coinvolgono gli oltre 50 circoli sparsi nei 5 continenti, ivi compresi quelli attivi in terra canadese: Toronto, Chatham, Montreal, Vancouver e Ottawa.
Particolare attenzione è stata posta al prossimo importante appuntamento del 20 di ottobre - presso il Centro Veneto - per il 50° di costituzione del Club giuliano-dalmato del capoluogo dell'Ontario,
che data 3 settembre 1968 e che ha visto, in questo mezzo secolo di vita, alternarsi alla presidenza ben 15 nostri corregionali, da Carlo Milessa, anche socio fondatore, all'attuale Presidente, Adriana Gobbo.
Ai presenti all'incontro nella sede associativa canadese Ziberna, tra l'altro, ha sottolineato che quella del 20 ottobre “sarà un importante momento per riaffermare la cultura, i valori, la specifica e preziosa identità che vi contraddistingue, per ricordare i dolorosi travagli che accompagnarono l’emigrazione giuliano-dalmata, ma anche per evidenziare i tanti e tanti vostri successi in terra canadese”.

THE TRIESTE AGM MEETINGS WITH THE DIRECTORS OF THE CLUB OF TORONTO
Fabio Ziberna, the director of the Giuliani nel Mondo Association of Trieste, has attended several meetings with our fellow countrymen in Toronto, on the occasion of his visit to Canada for the 30th Anniversary of the foundation of the Lega Istriana of Chatham.
Ziberna met with the President of the Toronto Club, Adriana Gobbo, and some members of the Board of Directors and with Konrad Eisenbickler, the director of "El Boletin", the Club information paper.
Ziberna illustrated the plans of the AGM for 2019, also in the light of the recent meetings they had with the Regional Councilor for the fellow FVG countrymen abroad, Pierpaolo Roberti. These programs involve over 50 clubs spread across the 5 continents, including those which are active in Canada: Toronto, Chatham, Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa.
Particular attention was paid to the next important appointment of October 20th - at the Veneto Center - for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Julian-Dalmatian Club of the capital of Ontario, on September 3rd, 1968, which, in its 50 years of life, has seen alternating as Presidents 15 of our countrymen abroad, from Carlo Melissa, who was also one of the founding members, to the current President, Adriana Gobbo.
In the meeting held in this Canadian Club Ziberna underlined, among other things, that the event organized for October 20th was going to be an important moment to reaffirm the culture, the values, the specific and precious identity that distinguishes our people in Canada, to remember the painful distress that has marked the Julian-Dalmatian emigration, but also to highlight the many successes our emigrants had in the Canadian land.'
